Jane Rapoport is the lady that welcomes adventure, and in her latest one she finds herself with a broken leg and has no choice but to keep her physical activities indoors. Jane is not one to cry wolf, but when she sees something crossed the street that catches her attention, she begins to watch that particular couple, as if there a soap opera playing out for her own amusement.
Her neighbor Jasper, a home telemarketer, gets caught up in her excitement, and they begin a friendship over what is happening in the couple’s life. One night, she is there alone, while Jasper is away on a family obligation, when she thinks she sees the man of the couple across the street kill the woman. She confides in Jasper, and they agree to keep this to themselves until they know for sure that a crime had actually been committed.
