Leo was a hunk, and there was no use denying it.
He still is, for all I know. I of course never want to see him again after — Well, we’ll get to that. But I’d be lying if I said he didn’t catch my eye that first time. Let’s be honest, I was ready to hand him my gift-wrapped panties at a glance. Of course, that wouldn’t have sat well with Jack, my husband and Leo’s longtime friend, so I did NOT gift my panties to Leo, craving notwithstanding. I didn’t even take them off. To say Leo was attractive was an outrageous understatement. He was tall, lean and well-dressed, with the confident bearing that always goes with successful men. I want to say I don’t buy that drivel about some people being “winners” and others “losers”, nor the accompanying idea of “success”. I never believed in that. That was part of the reason Jack and I fell in love; we were both very happy being who we were, and had no long-term aspirations beyond enjoying work, enjoying life together and making the happiest children we could.
