“Lucy’s head was thrown back, a low moan of pleasure spilled from her lips as he twisted his hips, shifting inside her, sending pleasure spiking through her. He withdrew slightly, feeling the sharp sting of her fingernails as they dug into his back and buttocks.”
Lucy is a writer but she can’t write what she doesn’t know. In an attempt to combat this issue, her editor brings in an old friend, an ex-soldier called Robert. Lucy finds Robert rude and annoying, Robert finds Lucy scatter-brained and ridiculous, but both find the other incredibly attractive however and keep being drawn to one another.
Determined to keep their contact to a minimum though they create an arrangement that gets Lucy want she needs; information. It isn’t long before their plan breaks down and they are forced to look into other options. Shut away in a small Welsh cottage in the middle of winter will they be forced to sort out their feelings and finally give in to the spark between them?
