Anna is a middle-aged woman who has found that the spark has gone out of her marriage. While she is grateful for the life her husband has provided she’s frustrated that she seems to be low on the list of priorities.
When his son returns after spending many years in Europe at boarding school, Anna finds herself spending more and more time with the young man.
Neither have met the other before and she finds that they share similar outlooks to the world, and she finds it hard to resist the familiar spark of attraction that has been long-absent from her own marriage...

Anna sat in her bathroom and wiped the makeup off her face. It was a wide room, with enough space for a low bath that looked more like a hot tub and could fit six or seven people in. She was sitting at a desk that was set against the wall. A huge mirror stood in front of her and on the surface of the desk laid many products and tools that she used daily to apply in the morning and then cleanse at night. As she washed off the products she uncovered her face, and could barely look in the mirror at herself. Little by little the creases and wrinkles were uncovered, and where once her skin was radiant it was now pallid and lifeless. She looked old.
