Marybeth is an accomplished athlete in her own right, but there is still one thing that she has never done and still wants to do. Since she was young, she has always taken on every challenge without thinking about it first. This will be no different, as she has always wanted to learn to ski, but had never found time to do it.
With her vacation coming up, she decides to finally bite the bullet and get some much needed lessons. Her instructor Derek is only 18 years old, and she sees him as nothing more than a teacher, at least until they find themselves trapped in a cabin during an avalanche.
