I sighed as I stared up at the ceiling. It was already nine in the morning, so I knew I should get up and shower, but I just couldn’t summon the energy. Despite having slept great last night, I still didn’t want to move from my comfortable bed. The blankets were warm and the air was cold since the AC had been running all day.
The longer I laid there though, the further I drifted from sleep. As much as I wanted to just close my eyes and return to dreamland, it wasn’t going to happen. My choices were to stay there and waste more time or get up and actually do something productive. I’d been thinking of going down to the mall, so maybe I’d do that. I had three months of freedom before I started my freshman year of college, so why not enjoy that time?
