Sandra Wilson has purchased a large apartment downtown with her inheritance, and now seeks an interior designer. Her friend introduces her to Steve, who on first glance, she doesn’t like. But he knows interior design and that’s what she wants.
Steve introduces her to the city’s art world, and to boutiques hidden in various areas of the city. He opens up a world to her and then shows her the vision she knew she had inside of her, but could never describe.

When Karen brought Steve to lunch I instantly didn’t like him. He was a man with perfect honey blond hair, perfect pearl teeth and he smiled when he talked. He was probably gay, I figured. The fact that he was an interior designer didn’t help my estimation of him. He was simply too happy. I was used to men who were more like my coffee; murky and bitter.
