Rain pounded the already soiled ground along the slender pebbled pathway. Despite the warm summer day it had decided to rain only a few minutes after I had left the house, much to my dismay. It wouldn’t be too bad if it wasn’t that horrible kind of rain on a hot day that stuck to you.
I hurried along, hoping to reach the farm as quickly as I could. Either side of me were large green trees; their thick branches and nests of leaves making you believe that they would provide shelter. Instead the rain merely fell from the bright leaves soaking my once curly auburn hair. I shook my locks, letting the water cascade over my loose white summer dress.
With my now almost see through dress and the short brown sandals that cladded my feet, I definitely wasn’t dressed for such…
