Tiffany and George were sitting on the sofa watching television. The light from the screen was the brightest light in the room. A couple of lamps in the corner were switched on but most of the room was cast in shadows. George kept passing his hand idly between a bowl of chips and his mouth. Crumbs fell on his green shirt as his eyes were glued to the screen.
