Deadlines in an architectural firm sometimes include late ours of exhausting work. Stan Carson and Maricela Lodono are partners in an architectural firm that Stan started before the destruction of his first and only marriage.
While the two of them are working late into the night, the delirium that sometimes comes along with exhaustion overtakes them and they cross a line which neither had ever considered crossing before, however, when things reach their climax, the whole thing somehow makes perfect sense to them both.

We had previously directed the remainder of the associates home several hours before. They had young families and Maricela and I did not. The job was to be completed the next day after mid-day. The draftsmen would come back at 6:00 am and drive hard to the completion.
