I was caught in the burst of spring that year. Graduation was upon us, I was turning eighteen and life was stretching out in all its splendor. I couldn’t wait for it to begin and I was wishing every day would pass more quickly than the last so I could escape my small town and make it in the big city, as is the dream many before me have tried to follow. I was different than most of them though, I knew it deep in my bones.
Ever since I was little I’ve known that I had something burning inside me, something that set me apart from other people. Whenever I look at them I don’t see equals, I see people who are different from me, an audience waiting to be entertained.
