Roger is a lonely writer from Chicago, United States. He lives in the suburb part of town, stricken with poverty and low ambition. He strives to live, barely making ends meet by writing drama plays for school children.
He likes drugs and alcohol, considering them more reliable and closer than any other friends or acquaintances. His parents had died and he was pretty broke. He needed a chance to get out of town, to search for some serious work and inspiration. A friend, Michael, an editor for a Brazilian magazine called the Corrupção Express, called him one day.
“Hey, Roger! What’s up, man?”
