Karen shoved the last few items of clothing into the suitcase, before applying all her weight on top of it as so to close it shut. There was no way in hell that it weighed less than 10kg, but surely the cheap-ass airline didn’t expect her to go on holiday without her 5 different bikinis, several dresses and a full make up bag? Sure, she was only going away for two days, but she needed the choice or she’d only regret it once she was there.
She and Tills had been planning this getaway for weeks, ever since Tilly had found out that her boyfriend of three years, Mark, had been cheating on her. Karen remembered that phone call in the middle of the night all too well, and it brought bile up from her stomach every time she thought about how heartbroken and awful Tilly had sounded on phone.
