These conversations with Robert always messed up Sarah’s day. Every morning she had to endure the neighborhood’s asshole as he plummeted her with requests on her way to school. She was getting tired of him. This had been their fifth move in six years and it was really getting to her. Why couldn’t her mother just leave her behind? She could always visit her whenever she was posted. Sarah couldn’t have any permanent friends. Her boyfriend of three years, Rob, had given up on her since travelling every month for over 400 kilometers to see her was just too expensive and time consuming. Plus his job at the paper factory didn’t provide much provision for his frequent absence.
