Teresa and Ryan have a lot in common. They are both generally happy with their lives and with what they do. Neither of them has really felt the lack of a relationship in their lives.
They both find themselves at a holiday party store on completely different errands. They meet accidentally on purpose and find that they may have found what they didn’t even know was missing.

Teresa had certain rules for herself. She never gave too much away and she always kept a safe distance from people in order to see their reaction to her before she approached them. Teresa knew what she looked like. She looked like a dumb blonde. She was conventionally pretty with long naturally blonde hair. She was taller than average and had an hourglass figure with long legs.
She also had heart shaped face and clear blue eyes. Everyone expected her to be stupid. Most of her life she tried to fight that. She was now resigned to it. She was the secretary for an elderly executive who valued her for her job performance and who was completely indifferent to her appearance.
