A loud cry went up as the hands of the clock hit five o’clock and the lecturer lifted his arms to calm the students so they would quiet down again.
“OK…, OK,” he said and laughed once the noise subsided to a murmur. “I know you are all excited to be getting away from here for a few of weeks, but remember the coursework I set.”
“C’mon sir,” a voice sounded out jokingly from the back of the lecture theater. “Do we really have to do it?”
“Yes,” he fired back. “I don’t want those brains fried by too much sun and alcohol. A few hours of work will do you good and I’ll expect the work on my desk the first day back.”
