When she crashes into a man and hurts her ankle falling during a violent thunderstorm a young woman doesn’t realize it’s the start of something more. The man she bumps into offers her a haven in his home during the storm and when he looks at her ankle the young woman is only too aware of the rising heat.
Afterwards she can’t get him out of her mind and goes back to thank him. Finding herself in his home again she is only too aware of the attraction between them and an invitation to dinner leads to another meeting where the passion erupts between them.

Karen looked out her office window at the growing gloom. It wasn’t only the darkness of the evening that was making the sky black and she turned to her friend.
“We should get going,” she said. “It looks like the skies are about to open up.”
“Rain?” Carol asked as she looked up from the work she was doing.
Karen rolled her eyes. “Good call smart girl,” she joked. “And exactly what else were you expecting to fall from the sky.”
Carol shook her head and laughed. “Shut up,” she complained at the teasing. She looked back down at her desk and finished the work she was doing before standing up to walk to the window.
