Amber Sexton is married to an affluent man, and she thinks that her life is idyllic, until she wakes up in a mental institution. She has no recollection of how she got there, only that there is a small part of her that still tries to reach out and show her the real truth about her situation.
Everybody thinks that she is losing her mind, and she finds out from a court appointed shrink that nobody has heard from her husband Frank. They tell her that she is in for psychiatric evaluation, and that she came to them hearing voices, and saying that she thought that her house was being bugged and that people were going through her trash. She eventually meets up with the man that wants to help…

“Honey, I have to get to work, and I don’t want you to worry about me. This is a routine business call to China and I believe that I shouldn’t be gone more than a couple of weeks. I would offer to take you with me this time, but you have been fighting this nasty flu bug, and I’m not sure if you are well enough to travel. Take it easy, get some rest and drink plenty of fluids.” I felt his hands on the back of my neck, as he leaned in and kissed me on the forehead, avoiding the germs that were plaguing my system as we speak.
