Crushed by the betrayal experienced in her last relationship, Samantha travels to Barcelona, to escape, recover and attend the Sonar music festival. As soon as she arrives she knows she is in the right city for distractions, and sets her mind to experience them.
Then she meets James, a tall, interesting man with innumerable friends and a seemingly impossible range of experience. James is, what Samantha would call a Distracting Man, though at first, she dismisses him. Once they are hooked up however, Samantha finds a cure or the deepest pain in his arms.

Samantha Newton arrived in downtown Barcelona with very few expectations. She was in Spain for the Sonar music festival, a three day event, which showcased some of the newest and brightest artists in music and multi-media entertainment.
With only two bags, her carry-on being one of them, she left the taxi, ignored the bellboy, and went to the desk of her hotel to check in.
She was already in love with Barcelona. It was her kind of city; large, beautiful, a great night-life and perfect beaches. What else could a girl desire? Well, there were a few things, like a handsome man to share all of this glory with, but so far Samantha had failed in this area of life.
